I’ve already pre-ordered the book; do I need to purchase another copy in order to attend the live event?
Thank you so much for pre-ordering a copy of Deeper Than Work! WE APPRECIATE YOU. Yes, in order to attend one of these live conversations, you’ll need to purchase an event ticket through the host book store. This means, you’ll receive an additional signed copy (while supplies last) of the book, which you can give as a gift to a friend, family member, or colleague who needs it!
How will the live events be streamed?
Each of the events will be live-streamed virtually via Zoom, Crowdcast, or the system set up by each host book store. You’ll receive access information via email before the live event.
Does it matter which live event I choose to attend?
It’s totally up to you! Feel free to choose the date/time/topic that best suits your interests and preferences. (You can also decide to purchase tickets from multiple stores and join Dorianne along the entire tour!) Rest assured, you’ll have a great time no matter which event you choose to attend!
I live outside of the U.S. Can I still purchase a book from one of these bookstores to show my support for a Black-owned independent bookstore?
Each bookstore has their own policy on this, so be sure to check their event information pages. Most will allow you purchase a ticket and then donate your book to the store’s local community if they can not provide overseas shipping.
Are tickets refundable?
No, tickets are non-refundable and are purchased directly with each bookstore, not through Dorianne St Fleur & Co. Any questions you have about your purchase or event access should be directed to the bookstores who can help you out!
